Swim Platform cutting the wake on a Mastercraft

You know how we have complained that the swim platform for the RZ2 cuts the wake when you are surfing?

Well, I went out with a friend today that owns a MC X2, and the swim platform on his boat cuts the wake way more than my RZ2 does. The Surf wake was a real disappointment on the X2. My RZ2 wake with no ballast is twice as big as the X2.

I did like the wakeboard wake better on the X2. The ramp was very smoth and with a really nice pop. I was able to clear the wake which I never done it on my RZ2. Mostly because the wake to wake is shorter on the X2.

Shorten the rope on your RZ2 until you can clear the wake and then as you progress, take it out some. It's ok to ride at 50', 55' to learn the fundamentals. I've heard that about the X2, not a good surfer.

I already put the rope as short as I can when riding. I just need to be a little more aggressive.

Don't get me wrong I do like the RZ2 wakeboard wake, I can go higher on the RZ2. I just being trying to cross it for a while, and I finally got it since the X2 wake to wake is shorter.

Does anyone know if the new 09 platform fits on the 07 and 08 RZ2s, and how much does it cost?

It's funny, that fear factor thing. Wake to wake.
I can wake to wake every time, but go out into the flats... naaay.
I've had a pro or two on the boat telling me I'm not holding my angle.
In the last moment... I let off..... I think instead of a pro, I need a
          Talk Doc.....
On the flip side, I've got friends that pushed it too far and
are going under the knife to tighten things up....
          I know.

Then you should go a little faster to narrow the wake up on your Tige.

22 mph is the fastest I tried on my RZ and never jumped wake to wake. On the X2 I went 21 mph and was able to jump across.

Perhaps my speed set is off from my friend's X2. I'll try 23 mph next time, and Doctor TallTigeguy might have to fix me up after I crash.

If you're willing to hold the camera near the water and have the right lens, any wake will look like that.

I'm thinking his speedo is off. I can't clear the wake at 21 very well but at 23.6 its no problem. progressively cut in keeping your kneess bent and once you hit the wake stand up and you will get tons of pop.

Man you guys ride fast! We only ride about 18-19.5, depending on how salty the water is. I realize the faster you go the cleaner and narrower the wake, but it hurts so much more when you fall going that fast. If we are surfing the 22v less than about 10.5 mph our platform cuts into the wake a little too. If it is doing that and we need to go that slow then I shift someone to the other side or the bow to get the swim platform out of the water.

The other thought I had is that the rope may be too long. I have one rope that leaves me wishing it had another 3 feet shorter loop on it. The other rope I have, I usually am on the second loop out, so that rope is way shorter. Tiges generally have a very wide wake and most of us need a shorter rope.
