Vieos: The Book VS. Higher Education

Have any of you seen the wakeboard instructional video called "Higher Education"?
I can jump wake to wake but I want to start on spins and grabs.
I was considering getting the DVD set "The Book" but I think its $150. Higher Education was $30 for 2 DVDs. It listed about 40 tricks and is 118 minutes long but I'm wondering if the Book is better or worth the money?

I have the Book. It is very comprehensive, almost too much so. I just got Murray's Detention 2012 and think it is a lot easier to undrstand and watch. I would highly recommend that one instead, and its cheaper.

Turbo you beat me to it!

I have Detention Vol. 1&2 (have had it for like 4 years) and it is a great video to learn from. I didn't even know there was a Detention 2012 until I did a google search for Vol. 1&2 about 2 minutes ago.

          247,
So you are voting for it even though you have never seen it...

I have not seen Higher education, but I know The Book made sense to me. Like any sport I have ever done, I did some drills to get the basics down. Never did that for wakeboarding because it is too much fun just to go out and ride.

But I found if I did 5 minutes per set of some of the drills that they recommend, I have made a little progress. I am no good by any means and I found it useful.
          Be excellent to one another.

Yes sir. Like I said, I was going to recommend Shaun Murray's Detention Volumes 1&2 but I realized when I did a quick google search for it that there was a newer Detention (2012) and since I loved the older Detention I figured the new one (with added tricks) would be better.

I too just got Detention 2012 and it is awesome. Very fun and educating as well. I learned more in 5 mins of that than in 2 years of trial and error. It has my vote and at 26 bucks you can't beat it.

I think one of the most important things to learning is knowing what you are doing wrong. The Book tells you all the things to do it right and shows you pros doing it right, but it doesn't teach you pick up on the things you are doing wrong.

I think one of the best features of Detention is that they show you students from the Boarding School learning the trick. The show them crashing and explain what the did wrong. Shaun also puts on the orange vest and helmet and shows the common mistakes with most tricks and there results.

At least now when I crash I know what I did wrong.
