There should not be any cutting from others I have seen.

I have a 21i as well, I had to cut the bolts down and things didn't go into place exactly as planned, but we got it done and it is very nice. I don't think that he had set one up for a 21i before so yours might be easier. If you have any questions feel free to send me a pm. I can send you pics of what mine looks like. The 21i is a little different than the others as the taps plate, when in the up position, interferes with the normal FAE setup.
If you could post a pic that would be great. I plan on doing mine in the morning. I must say it looks very straight forward. Should only have a couple of holes to drill I think.
I was a little confused that mine didn't have any springs just in case something hit the FAE unit. I really don't think mine is setup to break away like the instructions say it should. The setup couldn't be easier. The corners are really cool how it is held the FAE to the platform. That was my concern until I got it and looked at it. No guessing at all. Stick the all thread through and tight the nuts up.
I have 2 square SS tubes that get screwed into the platform. All thread that goes into the corners of the FAE and the 2 pieces that go to the transome that the FAE mounts too. That is all I have. Does this sound right?
Mine went in pretty easy but it took longer than I expected. The additional time came from removing the swim platform.
Exactly!!!!. I thought I would just knock this out in no time. Wasn't hard, just guess I was really picky. I think I put it together and took it back off for 1 reason or another about 3 times. I missed one of the steps and took it off to tighten up the hard to reach screws. It went a lot easier when I dropped the taps plate. Popped it right on the last time w/ the plate out of the way.
LovinPowell,
Thanks...This is exactly what I cut too and about the same lengths as you did but the looks of it. I did have to trim about 1/4" off the right support arm because it wasn't where I measured it. My platform supports aren't straight.
I am glad to see your picture except mine has a slight angle down, I was a little worried about that part but my angle is very slight. Clears everything and I can't wait to try it out this wkend. Sorry I didn't think about taking a pic from the side but I will.
Larry Mann,
You guys do a great job. You can tell you have put a lot of thought into this piece over time. Went together just as instructed, if I would have read every one of them.
Thanks.

I left the band screws on the inside because I didn't want them exposed just in case somebody rubbed up against them, like kicking them with their feet, etc. The bar across the top is the support bar, because of the sharp angle, it had to fit under the transom instead of the swim deck, which isn't a big deal. We did have very little clearance to get the bolts on, I'll attach a pic after I upload it. Like you, I took it off and put it back on 3 or 4 times for various reasons. We weren't sure how it was suppose to ultimately look and through trial and error I think we figured it out.
