So I should try the 360 before the blind 180?? I am just trying to progress in a manner that doesn't send me to the hospital

You will fall much harder learning the blind 180 vs. the 360 IMHO..
If you ain't falling.. you ain't trying hard enough..

Funny thing was that there were novice boarders on the boat and they all thought I was doing a 360. Its the illusion of a backside spin versus a frontside, it just looks like your spinning a lot more.

Plus have you ever seen a grab, then BS180 combo? Ben G does a Stale/BS180 that looks so good. With that who would ever want to do a 360?

I noticed in the sequence that you are indeed looking "behind" i.e. away from the boat. A big part of landing this trick is your head position when you land. Try looking out into the flats (where your momentum will carry you if/when you land it). In other words, you should be looking over your right shoulder perpendicular to the line of the boat. This should keep you better balanced when you land and keep you from the dreaded neck-breaking whiplash that comes from catching that rear edge. (trust me I've knocked myself out cold a few times from similar crashes)

Progressive edge, pop and pull the rope with your left hand to your left hip, reach around and grab with right hand, and then bring your head around so that you are looking in the direction your flight is carrying you and when you land try to keep cutting out into the flats. That should keep that edge from catching. Good luck and post a sequence of you landing it!!

I think looking either way will work. Murray says to look down at the wake, others say to look where you want to go. I will do which ever way gets me on my toe edge cutting out. Just need to figure out which way that is.

I don't know how people take these out into the flats. Especially a blind Judge. Just nuts!

I hate landing blind, I pulled a mussle once landing blind on a little one wake bs180 to the flats, I cringe ever time I think about blind landing tricks haha

              Success

I am so stoked to get this and get it on my Powell trip. There was a huge handle spike afterwards.

Also, I gotta give credit to my girlfriend for all the photo editing she did in GIMP to get the sequence.

BTW - Have been trying at 20MPH, 65ft and no ballast. So no "your wake looks small jokes"
How do you edit a pic like that?

Pic one photo in the sequence to be your base photo. Then stack the others on top of it and remove everything except the rider.

Looks like Padre canyon? Nice Job!

Dude, you never pulled any 3's when I was with you? Why were you holding back?

                      It was in Gunsight.

Yes, I can do 3s and a few other things. They just don't happen that much.
