    Need some advice...

    Hey Gang...

well..i had some bad luck this summer and put my 96 pre2001 under water..my buddy was driving and dipped the front under water and could not get out of it...the boat did go to the bottom of our "sadly" very shallow lake but none the less went under...well..im actually planning on moving soon so im needing to sell it...I have a guy offering me about 5k as is...all the liquids have been drained and we salvaged the seats...the only thing missing is the engine cover..So...how much would yall think i should ask for the boat?? i need some advice so that i dont just hand it over...btw...i did manually get a socket and the engine does still turn so its not hydro locked...so thats great news..let me know and thanks!!!

Sorry to hear this happening to anyone, did you not have insurance to cover your loss? Unfortunately, you could have salvaged the drivetrain if it was drained, flushed, and run, as soon as it was retrieved from the water.

New buyer will be looking at engine, trans, and most, if not all of the electronics. Nada guides books that boat out in the low teens, so with the cost of repair, est $10k, I'd take the 5,000 and run.

Long term repairs will add up too.

Starter, steering cable....just to name a few
