I think this would be important. Perhaps you should have both a standard song and a contestant selected song that you listen to. That way you have at least some comparison, but also allow folks to show off what they believe the strengths of their system are.

I thought about that, but it will be much more fun to hear a variety of music. Plus, you will pick your own song so you can fine tune it to that. I might even break out a little Vanilla Ice...

I actually like the idea that everyone play the same song snippet as part of there 2 minutes. It would give the judges something to compare. Maybe like a 15 second required song snippet to begin their 2 minute mix. Will still give them time to be an individual. Kind of like a required element in the olympics

If enough guys want a 30 second snippet of the same song, then we can do that. The problem being that there will be a few who want to compete but aren't internet junkies and don't know the rules.

I guess I can burn it to a CD and take it from boat to boat? Putting it on the Ipod will be easy. We would need a CD in case a few do not have an Ipod hookup.

Add some votes here if you would like a 30 second snippet. (I get to pick the snippet) but Push it would be a frontrunner. If you hate whatever I pick, then it will get monotonous to hear it 10 times or more. That is my only concern, I want it to stay fun, even for the non-stereo junkies.
