Here it is. I put myself in charge of the stereo contest this year since it is pretty obvious that I would be the undisputed winner, if I were competing.
Here are the preliminary rules.
I will find 2 other judges, they will likely be a woman and another man who are mostly impartial. You will have 2 minutes to show your stuff. You can take less time, but we are walking away after 2 minutes. Point your boat to the shore and we will be about 40 feet from the tower. Due to shoreline irregularity, we probably cannot get further.
Judging will be in 3 categories:
1. Clarity, It needs to sound good, 10 points
2. Volume, Yes, loud is good. 10 points
3. Showmanship. This is the X-factor. I would like to see Moki do a headspin on the swimplatform, little bits of water spraying from his hair. 5 points are awarded here for entertaining us. This is where a selection of music is important also. Play one song for two minutes, that is fine, but mix it up and you get bonus points for selection. A fart noise or two might help, a jet engine noise is always good too. Crowd response will be measured in here as well, get people moving and you get a full 5 points. But remember, you have two minutes. I will have a mix all done to start things off.
That makes 25 points for your efforts possible. In the event of a tie, we will have to do a soundoff. So you might need two mixes, or simply repeat the same first one.
I did find a really cool mixer that is free. http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ You can mix, fade, echo and speed up or slow down a track. It also has a pretty easy interface.
I am open to other ideas, but not really.
Since I started the reunion, we will do this my way.

Give me some comments and feedback on this approach. It is not meant to be scientific, and not meant to really choose who is the best, but I think it gives a friendly opportunity to display our personality and get the party started.
I appreciate input from others who won't even be there, so I posted it in the general section to get the most traffic.
Prize for the winner? Anyone got an idea? Some small token, I don't want people complaining they got robbed of the gold medal. Maybe a set of earmuffs?
