Does vinyl warranty pass to second owner?

    Greetings fellow tige owners!
After falling in love with the first tige I saw on ebay, and about a year of shopping. I finally found the right deal there on a 02 21v fully loaded. I got a great deal on it but for being only a season and a half old and 175 hours the vinyl is looking like it is ten years old. A few of the cushions have the vinyl separating from the backing and some cracking here and there, although the seams are still intact. I am also seeing the brown ooze coming out of the cushions that I read somewhere tige has helped some people out with a better foam.
I was wondering if I should try to contact tige or take my cushions to the dealer a couple of hours away and see if they will help me? Does the 5 year warranty pass to a second owner? Or should I just take some of the money I saved and just have it fixed myself.
    Thanks in advance.

i believe only the hull warranty will transfer, and with that you need to contact tige in texas. 325/676-7777

yes TigeMD is correct the hull warranty can transfer and this would be the only warranty that can transfer to the 2nd owner. You must file a warranty transfereability form and there is a fee for this to complete the transaction. If there are any questions please give me a call 325-676-7777

      Congrats on the boat purchase

Interesting insight! Is this the norm for Tige' Boats?? I have been looking seriously at buying a 1999 21V Limited Edition but when sent photos of the interior I was turned off big time. Seats all cracking at the seams discoloration (Cream deams to have faded to a blue tinge) Not sure what to do as I was faulting the owner for this but from what your saying this may be normal. Does anyone know if Tige' does restoration of is there someone out their that has had a 21V redone? If so what would be the cost. Can I get it doen by Tige' or is there someone in Texas that will replicate. If so How much (ballpark figure fine)

          Dan,
Good luck with your search, wonder if that is the same tige that has been on e-bay multiple times under must sell?
I think it is more a issue of how the boat was used and how well it was cared for. You might find that in some states where you can have water front property, such as Texas and Minnesota alot of the boats get used kind of like a daily driver car. With that they get a very accellerated rate of wear and tear, sometimes they get tied to a dock and are left in the water all summer. In states where that is not the norm, like Arizona you can find boats several years old and look like new because they spend most of time in the garage. These boats seem to command a premium price, as they should and it is the buyers choice. If you are willing to do some cleaning and fixing up you can usually get a boat for about 25 or 30% cheaper than the ones that are like new. My thought is to buy the newest and lowest hour boat that you can afford and fix it up to your standards. That way you can try to stay ahead of the depreciation curve.

You can buy "seat skins" from your dealer and have a local shop install them for a decent price or you could have them recovered and it would probably cost less than you think. I was quoted $40 a seat bottom to fix mine and I will probably do that.
          Good luck!
