That is a good price if it is loaded. Most of them that I have seen are. What engine did it have? There are some pretty good prices out there right now.

I cannot stand the way the Supra playpen extends all the way back next to the driver, so the driver for sure trips on it, if you have long legs. It is a chore just to get in and out of the driver's seat. In the Malibu, it is far enough forward, that it is not a problem.

Tige should consider moving the front ballast to that location and not stealing all the storage space. So if you want a front ballast in the Tige, you get automatic permanent playpen seating. Does not seem like a bad thing to me.

My buddy went to replace his speakers in his 247 with Wetsounds. The speakers that are in a 2007 are right under the windshield, and they could not be accessed from underneath to make the hole larger, and the holes couldn't be enlarged from on top because the windshield was in the way. I guess this is their attempt to solve this problem.

I think they are infatuated with technology and that guage cluster is just that...a cluster....

I do not think that is going to be a reliable unit for years to come. Dust and water just are incompatible with functioning LCD screens. Boats are often stored outside and are then operated in water. I think they are nuts to put that on there!
concerning the last comment im sure they have designed it to withstand the elements, and failing that im sure they warrant the device. mc have one as well, i think thats where its all heading.

I like it. Very cool. It's not about the functionality of it though. You have a bad a$$ dash like that. You will get the bad a$$ women to go along with it. You stay with an old analog, and well.......................hope you like old tang. LOL.

Sorry, that is one thing that I did not check out. I already have two boats so I decided not to become too attached. The boat was loaded though and had all of the upgrades, including premium sound.

Do you guys really think they would put something in one of these boats thats a $1000 option, and not even think about it in the long run.

Sure they would, there is a long history of car/boat makers doing that in the past. Just think of Burn in. ANY LCD monitor is succeptible to burn in. Think of a monitor with guages on it. It will burn in, probably in the first year. Its a cool idea, but not very practical for a boat. This is the kind of thing, that people who buy a boat and flip every year will love, but not do so well after a long time.

Well Burn in would be your own fault because you left it on the same screen the whole time. And thats something thats inevitable, not LCD man. fault or Boat Man.

Thats my point, LCD monitor, used for guages is a bad design, its going to burn, cuz you NEED to leave it on the same thing for a while. What the hell is it good for, if I can't leave it on, so it don't burn?

Just did some reading, and LCD screens dont Burn in. Burning in is only a problem for CRTs and is permanent, but not for LCDs. Instead LCDs have Image Persistance, which is not permanent. When things are displayed for a long time the crystals are used to the certain color and when that color changes it will be slightly discolored or will show an outline of the previous image. Therefore, LCD burn in would not be a major "design flaw" and also there are other displays other than guages, such as speed set, rider presets, and not to mention AUX input and Videos. With all those other options I dont think 1 will be left on long enough to produce a persistant image.

too deep for me... specially as I prefer analog gauges anyway! I will leave the screens for watching TV and movies.

Man, I need to move to TX!!!!!! Women here in IL/WI seem to care to much about looks and not being a "creep." Sure wish they were more into LCD screens like the TX girls! TX must be full of PDMs.

Oddly for me, but that Bu reminds me of a Wakecraft rig. You can keep the dash, the wheels, the fenders, the speaker grills, and anything else that has to have "more" cleaning time than usual. I want to ride, not clean, so keep it simple for me. I pray Tige doesn't get carried away with the bling crap for the future. Drive me nuts wiping all that crap down, I've got OCD has it is....

Sure they burn in. I can show you 2 LCD monitors that are of the highest quality, from apple, that burned in. You can turn them on and see where my email was always open. LCD def burns in, plasma is more easily burned.

Here is the thing, they are going away from guages, and towards these monitors, the idea being:

Don't worry, the computer monitors everything for you, and we will tell you when something is critical, and we will put your motor in limp mode, so you don't have to worry about it. Just have fun. I like the fact that I always have my motor temp, and my oil pressure ALWAYS on and available to glance at.

If I know that my boat always runs at 150 deg when doing my thing, cuz I always take a glance at it, that is good info. Critical is at say 210 or something. But what if I go out, and I see I am hovering at 175? Could my impeller be going? They usually just don't blow. Usually you only lose a blade or 2, and it causes your temps to go up, before it blows. If I wait for the computer to tell me when its critical, its too late, and I need a tow in.

IMHO, what I have on my 2007 is very nice. Good set of analog guages, with a black and white LCD readout that I can use as needed. I want to be able to see my guages and know what's going on.
