How many hours are too many?

My wife and I are huge Tige lovers and have an opportunity to buy a 2007 Tige with 130 hours on the boat. We absolutely love the boat but are concerned it may have too many hours. The last thing we want to do is buy the boat and then half way through next season have an issue that ties it up in the shop for a month and is costly. We are just trying to get a sense if 130 hours are too many and if we should continue our search for a boat with less?

130 hour isn't a lot of hours compared to a few others on this thread. IMO, I woudn't worry about those hours.

130 hours would be about average for a 2007. That boat still has plenty of life left.

210 on our 06.......would have been more but severe drought last year closed all but one ramp on our lake.

With a used boat, I'd be more worried about a seldom used one, then one with above avg. hours

I am with CHP, a boat with low hours means that the guy does not love his boat, so it probably is not as well maintained, or driven as carefully. 130 hours is perfect for a 2007. The parts will be perfectly lubricated. I would not hesitate in the slightest.

I would probably take that boat over a boat that has been owned for 2 seasons with 30 hours on it.

We put about 200 hours a year on our boat, so 130 does not sound bad. I would have it checked thoroughly though still to ensure that proper maintenance was kept up. Good Luck.

My 2007 has 250 on it, and it runs PERFECT, and will for MANY MANY more. Just check that he has all service records, and how he stores it, and make sure you go for a ride on it. Don't hesitate to arrange to have it looked at by your own mechanic before you purchase. I have a local guy that I totally trust, he services my tige, and we mail in the stuff to tige, to keep on warranty. If I was buying a used boat, I would make sure he was on the ride with me, or at least got the boat in his shop for a thorough inspection.

100 hours is about equal to 6000.00 car miles, hope that puts it into perspective.

x3! Just make sure to have a mechanic look it over if possible and definitely go for a ride! Look listen and feel... play with all the gadgets, feel for any vibrations, drive it like a mental patient and it all seems A.O.K make sure you get it at a good price.
