SBFan tells me there is a tool that will suck all of the oil out of the pan with it just attached to the oil dipstick hole. It will spill a few drops at best.
I would like to change the oil twice as often as I like to have the dealer service the engine, but I am unsure about trying to get it sucked out via the hose on the bottom of the pan (I think there is one down there somewhere).
SB says that the unit costs around $350. I wondered if there could be one purchased for Tigeowners.com members and then just shipped around as we each need it. Shipping would probably cost $25 but would be a whole lot cheaper than hauling the boat to my dealer for just an oil change.
Can we trust one of us not to scam off with the tool? After the initial purchase it would sort of run around between the guys that paid into it sort of like Ragboy's surf ballast setup.
Whaddaya think?
