Shift controls supplied to tige' on my 21i with 360 hours are junk ( not tige's fault ) I plan on removing and repairing or replacing this off season.

the dealer said that the pin bearings were shot so the whole shifter would have to be replaced

Just got back from Lake Piru and was wondering what I'd do if my shifter went south. It gets used a lot in a normal day. First thing I'd do is tear my old one apart and see if I could swap the handle w/TAPS switch into a brand new assembly. The wires from the switch probably just feed thru the assembly.

I think that's how all dealers make money........capitalism...

If you've seen some of the prices on the 07 and 08 boats still out there, you'll realize that they have to make a profit somewhere. As long as it's fair.
