help!! trailer problem

i need to tow boat 30 miles (cypress to corona)
problem is...my trailer's driver side ,front tire is pointing out! (toe out)
i don't know if i should try to make it out there or should i get the trailer and boat towed???

A picture would help. I am not sure what you mean by pointing out. Do you mean like the camber? If you are looking at the trailer from behind the driver's side tire looks like / ?

If it's that noticeable, I wouldn't risk it. A few degrees, in or out, is not really noticeable but will cause rapid tire. To be able to see this kind of toe problem that you have, you're probably talking around near 5-10* out.

Sounds like bent axle or spindle! Good luck getting it moved.

Before you move it even a foot, jack it up and check it to see if it wobbles. Could be the outer wheel bearing is blown and the toe out position could be the current position it is resting on the spindle. Any movement could cause the entire wheel to fall completely off. I assume you have a single axle trailer???

^^^ good thought on the loose bearings. I'd say it would be a tandem under a 22Ve. If you dont have to hit any major roads and dont need to go too fast, pull the suspect wheel off, add some more air to the remaining tire, and roll on slow and easy.

Dual axle indeed. Still test for wobble and as chp said remove the bum wheel and put the ramaining tire at max pressure and roll on... slowly to where you need to go. Take NO chances with this cuz things can go really bad really fast!! Good luck.

I would think a broken leaf spring would also be likely culprit for the toe out situation. No way I would tow it hosed up. Do you have BoatUS trailing insurance, they will tow something 100 miles for free if you do .

Can you moor the boat anywhere while you check things out? I agree to pull the tire and check around. Take picts of everything and post them. Perhaps someone can help find something if you are stumped.

Do Extreme Trailers have torsion axles or straight axle/leaf springs?

Check the lug nuts. That is how mine looked after someone loosened the lug nuts and the studs bent
