nice....My pylon is super strong. I don't know what the newer boats look like but I could lift my boat from the frame that my pylon is mounted to.

Yep. I had to remove mine to take it to a guy who could extract my telescopic pylon. When I added my tower, I decided to go to a lower profile pylon. It was a PITA, but I'm happy with the results. My pylon is mounted to the stringers with 4 heavy duty bolts and has two angular braces that rest against the stringer. I could easily pull a para-sailor.

My tower flexes more than a Ukranian gymnast--POS! With those pro 80s on there that weigh about 400# each it really sways. I would never feel comfortable pulling from the tower because I'd be afraid I'd snap it in 1/2. My ski pylon is Tonka Tough--it won't budge.
Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?

What size is the "nut" to tighten up the pylon... I will have to check mine this trip...I confess...I haven't ever paid too much attention to the pylon other than grabbing it when I come in the boat sometimes and giving it a tug or twist...which it hasn't done to this point...but...

One thing I have noticed is that the pressure in the tube makes the biggest difference.
I bought this new turbo air pump from overtones; it brings the pressure up to 2.5 psi.
Now the tubes really swing, with very little effort.
