I pulled a tube from the pansy pylon and I think I liked it :)

Well this week the sisters and nieces and nephews came in shifts so I only took out one tube. Decided to use the pylon instead of the lifting rings. What a diferrence, you could really get the tube moving to either side.

The rides were thrilling, the wipeouts spectacular. Again the Tiges were well represented at Lake Havasu and on the highways.
    Let it be!!!

To me the tube seems harder to swing when it's on the pylon because it swivels around instead of having it "fixed" to a spot where it can swing off of but I don't have rings to hook a tube up to for comparison.

Au contraire. I can basically get the tube to swing around the boat if I tried when it's on the pylon

But it requires more effort IMO. Pulling with my I/O with the ring in the center of the boat I could due a turn one way and then immediately back the other and the tube would just come flying. With the pylon it seems like it's a lot more effort to get it to do the same thing.

With the pylon I was shocked how easy the tube moved. I did a little s manuever and I had the tube on the port side trying to pass me

Just make sure your nuts are tight...er uh, I mean the nut on the pylon is tight. It mysteriously comes loose, that is when the gelcoat cracks start. They pylon is 100 times better than the lifting rings.

Maybe I drove a little more cautiously when I pulled from the rings as I ussually have 2 tubes going at once. From the pylon and little turn had the tube whipping outside the wake

That nut seems to come loose quickly. I tightened it about 3 times a day. Did not want to overtighten also.

You need to get one some of that stuff that you gel on the nut(s), that is like rubber, and holds the nut in place.

I think its called a nut sac.

                      LOL

Cuz you know I'm right! It's simple physics, if your rope is able to move around it's mounting point the boat can move without the rope's location moving, if it's "fixed" into a spot, the rope can't swivel and thus the tube goes wherever the boat goes! Now with the tube on that pylon it can move farther around the boat, there's no arguing that!

I thought the pylon wasn't strong enough to pull tubes with. I also have another tow bar for tubes coming out of the back of my boat, it's connnected with 4 very large through the hull bolts.
