Audio system and speed set 2008 Z1

Dashboard and transom remote don't work after 3 hours on the water,
speed set resets itself to 5 mph after slowing down.
Anybody had a problem like this bevore? Pls. help

Check the "Y" connector for the stereo remotes at the back of the head unit. They run off the head unit are are independent of the boat's electrical system, so if the stereo works, it's probably just a loose "Y" connector, as I doubt you have 2 failed remotes.

Can you elaborate a little more on the Speed-Set symptom!

I have had issues like that with my cruise control, I was first told that it was a bad ground somewhere in the system, but that didnt seem to fix the problem. I am being told now that my computer issues are fixed with a reflash on the ecm, but I havent got the boat back yet to test it. But if you only have 3 hours on a new boat, the ecm should be updated.

Did the remotes start working again later? Is this a custom stereo, or factory?

I had some issues like that, I put in the big stereo and 2 remotes, and the remotes would sometimes LOCK UP. It was an issue of the battery being drained faster than it was being charged, and eventually the lower voltage would cause issues like this. I put in a 150amp alternator, and accept on occasion where I am idling for a long time, this never happens anymore.

I checked and cleaned all connectors already -still the same. But the funny thing is that it that it works again after the boat has been turned off for aprox. 4 hours. Sometimes the displays on the remotes are off and sometimes just the buttons don't work anymore.
Speed set: I set it to 20mph accelorate and it works but after I slow down to pick up a fallen rider it sets itself to 5mph. And sometimes I set it to 20mph bevor I accelorate and it doesn't work at all.

Sounds like you are not getting enough juice. Bad battery, bad alternator, or you may need a bigger alternator.
