Pictures of the new Teak platform on our RZ

Ok, we've finally got it installed. Here are some pics. Unfortunately it was too late tonight to test the difference it makes for our surf wake but weather permitting, we'll have it out tomorrow after work and will post an update as soon as we get back.

We used the same brackets and just screwed into the teak. The installation was really easy. It makes the brackets more obvious, so some upcoming rainy day we are planning on painting them black. Hmmm... that could be a song. I see a gray platform bracket and I want to paint it black. No colors anymore... oh nevermind, here are the pics:

We wanted it small as the larger platform drags in the water when surfing.

Pics of New Wake

ok here are some pics. I don't remember the ballast set up we had on the before pics, but it was at least similar if not the same as the after pics. We tried to compare apples to apples for the pictures. There are 3 pictures of the old setup, followed by 3 pictures of the new. Notice how much cleaner the wake is in the new setup. The pocket is much longer and it is a lot easier to surf. It is really hard to show in the pictures the real difference. If we had pictures from the surfers point of view you would see a really dramatic difference.

It definitely looks nice! The pocket looks longer too, probably because it's not washed out at the back.
