I like it. Don't think is goes well with the whole RZ theme.

Making your own might be cost effective vs. buying a new fiberglass deck for surfing from tige

Some one is getting a new "Surf" teak platform for a RZ. Same shape just a little smaller.

I checked my PM's, guess it wasn't me or he would be asking for my address

Actually I demoed an '09 RZ2 this past weekend with the new platform and didn't really see a difference without ballast.

How much are those going for Lee?

So it still cuts into the wave?

This one should not. This one is six inches narrower on each side of the swim platform bracket and tappers in toward the rear of the platform.

                      It is me!

I can't thank Lee enough and I can't wait until it arrives to give it a try!

We are really getting into surfing and while I know at some point the '09 platforms should be available for a retrofit, we really wanted to have something this year... This is where Lee came in. I remembered a post about a teak platform he did for a RZ4 and that got us thinking about a teak platform for our RZ2, albeit a little smaller so it wouldn't cut into the surf wake (or at least cut into it less)

We really wanted a smaller platform with as little overhang of the mounting brackets as possible (keeping a couple inches to hide the brackets some) – and then not much deeper than the brackets either. To top it off, we wanted to keep the angular look of our RZ and the original platform…and I think Lee nailed it!

Anyway, I believe it is shipping today and as soon as I get it installed I will take pics and give a surf wake update!

phirates, are you saying that the current brackets have to be moved or are you utilizing the same location for the brackers?

                            Is it real teak?

                            Sorry, had to ask?
