    What Happened?

So I log on to my favorite website today(this one) and what the hell? Nothing but new threads with people with bad boat problems. People bitching about how bad tige is what horrible boats they build. What the hell man? Did everyone go on a mirror breaking streak or something?
How can I be racist when all of my assault rifles are black?

Wow! I agree. Good luck to some of the people leaving because of some of their problems. The other mfgs. use many of the same components to assemble their boats, and have the same problems and failures. Tige makes the hull, and buys the other components from other mfgs. just like the other boat companies do. Seems like everyone today wants everything covered forever with no personal responsibility. People don't realize how hard a boat is used and most don't do the maintenance and upkeep. Talk about ultimate stop and go driving in a harsh environment! Makes it even more important to perform regular maintenance.

This week hasn't been good on this site. Nothing but biatching and complaining. There is always two sides of a story, I am sure we are getting the worst story here this week.

I remember when my RZ2 on it's maiden voyage had a MAP Sensor go out. I don't remember biatching and complaining but I did have my dealer come out to the lake and attempt to fix it. They were not able to do that on the lake but did it back at the shop.

Come on, give us your side of the story, explain why you feel that way, and then put yourself into the dealers eyes and try and explain it from their side. They can only do so much. If my dealer could play "God" , I would make sure he would have in rain. We need rain in CA...

I pretty much have stayed out of all of this bitching. Our Tige works great and I love it. Last week my front ballast didn't work...did I bitch and say Tige makes bad boats? No I posted a thread in the proper section asking how to fix it. Luckily My tige has the ability to heal and I didn't have to fix it

I will say a positive thing. I bought my 1998 Tige in February. This is my third boat (I keep on upgrading). It is the first boat I have had that has not broken down in the first month. Lots of use this year and no problems, I love it! Knock on wood. It also has a great slalom wake and still a decent wakeboard wake.

Sorry for the downer. I love my Tige 24ve and intentionally said nothing in the string to bash the company. They make a beautiful, functional boat. I was just looking for advice from the largest forum of Tige owners in the world.

A 1998 is an upgrade? What did you have before that?

What I like about this site is that when you post up an issue, so many peeps jump in with knowledgable suggestions.

I deal with these things all day long, someone bought a car from me and then they come in and start bitching about how the power mirrors dont work anymore and the car is just junk, i get the mirror fixed and then they are happy again. Money is tight with people and when they spend 50,000+ dollars on a boat they can only use for a couple months they are going to want to vent a little, then the boat gets fixed and they are happy again, or they get rid of it for another brand and they have the same problems because they dont take care of it or its just something small again, thats just the way the game is played. My boat is currently at the dealership getting some small things taken care of because the warranty is up this month, i am not upset just happy they are gettting fixed.

                  A 1977 Ski Nautique. I don't like loans, so a 1998 was all I could afford.

For the first 3 months of owning my tige, I literally spent every week troubleshooting, hunting parts, and fixing things on my boat. I never bitched or gripped about it. Never said anything but good things about tige and still will not bash tige. My boat is 10years old and runs like a dream. NOW it does. lol Though I am begining not to like my tige these days.................................... I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

I was feeling that Tige was taking a beating yesterday as well. It made me reconsider wanting one of those neat 09 models I am looking at, worrying that I am going to get a lemon, when the one I have is working perfectly these days. There are not as many of those 'my boat is working perfectly' threads out there because it is human nature to get complacent when things are normal.

I don't think that the majority of complainers out there were bashing as much as just venting, which when you have a catastrophic failure of a solid metal part at very few hours, you should have a right to do. Little odds and ends will be expected, and a few big ones too. That is what we are learning these days.

It is going to happen to all boats or cars and with a public place to post about it you will hear the horror stories. I think it is good as it keeps companies grounded and dealers grounded. If you hear nothing but bad on a site like this or about a dealer people won't buy from them.

Knock on wood the worst thing I have had go wrong is my impeller spun on the water this year and I was able to text my dealer and get the answer to the problem ASAP (thanks Daniel at TWS). G-money was able to pick up the correct impeller before coming out to the river and whala the weekend was saved.

Now I must start a ritualistic dance for good luck for my last trip of the year.

Whew....I guess I can thank the good Lord and Tige for the good fortune we have had. No big problems...nothing that wasn't fixed quickly when need be...and nothing that has ever wrecked a trip or weekend... I'll say it...yes...our Tige runs great...and has been pretty darn problem free!!! There, I feel better now...

I'm like brody66, I dealt with this kinda stuff for 17 yrs, so I dont get too worked up when crap breaks/fails. I know what is and isn't covered under warranty, and I dont ask for more then what I deserve, but I do ask that a solution be brought forth in a timely manor, show me that you are trying to resolve the issue. My selling dealer kicked us to the curb after the ink was dry and treated us like we owned a 15 year old bayliner when we had a couple of stupid stuff pop up in the first month we owned the boat.

I went over their heads and went to their rep and the factory. They got us hooked up with an awesome dealer a few hours away that was more then happy to fix out boat.

I didnt expect my new boat to be perfect, so I can honestly say that Tige met my expectation, and exceeded them with customer service
