My 97 has a awesome wake(and not because its my boat) everyone in my club loves to ski my boat. What we normally set the taps is between 4 and 3, at 32/34 MPH running mainly 15 to 22 off. It really depends on who's skiing and their passenger weight. You can drive yourself crazy dialing in a flat wake! Glad too see more slalom interest with other Tige owners, when this board first started I think I was the only one who was into slalom skiing!

What is cool is Tige started making boats for the slalom skier, they saw the other companies going after 3 event skiers and realized the market potential just for the slalom skier. Wow how times have changed!!

Tight lines and liquid glass forever!!

Gotta love the Maha, it's pretty much a sure thing you won't be seeing another on the lake. Ahicken, when you said they were slow were you talking about the "Fastback" skis or their slalom skis? I know this is just my third year skiing but could swear the Maha felt faster on the water then my buddy's other ski, although I can't remember the name. Anyway just for the craftsmanship that goes into one, and for the beauty, I'll be on one forever
I think their slalom ski. I think it is because of the way they flex. I just remember going from the wood ski's to fiberglass and they were much faster accross the wake. I could be wrong.

I have to agree, I was grinding the top of the wake last week and tilted forward and took a face plant. That was quite painful for about 2 or 3 minutes. I love slaloming on my Connelly Hook and to those who think slalom skiing can get boring, just try seeing how close to the water you can get with your shoulder, you might just get a thrill. I'm 52 and whether I'm wakeboarding or slaloming or barefooting or ?? it all makes me feel like I'm 20 again, at least until the next morning.

I love all the water sports and adjust the sport based on water conditions. Barefooting early moning glass
          Slalomon morning ripple
wake skate just learning and I suck
          wakeboard
Surf when the when the water is gone
then off to the party cove to watch the pole dancing

Age doesnt matter it's just a state of mind.

Sweet. I hope it's the same for me when I'm 52.

Well said. There are not many old dudes who can layit out on a slalom ski and do it right. Some of are slowing down so out come wake boards and surf boards for next season and we will have little more variety. I still want the workout of some good old fashioned slalom runs.
