^^^ Agreed. Reason why I wakeboard.. I'm not spring chicken any more. I'm older than I use to be.

I love the feeling of railing around a corner on a tiny piece of wood. It's a kinda wild feeling to float around a big smooth arc perfectly balanced. I'm definitely not good at slalom--but I really do enjoy it now and again. Nothing feels quite like it.Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?

I'll probably never wakeboard, my lower back can't take being twisted while being pulled along. I like to go out and make my dozen turns then get back in the boat. I also get a kick out of clowning around on a pair of doubles.
As a kid it took me a substantial time and frustration investment to get up on a single ski. This summer, my 15 year old got up on his second try after a few tries last year. He likes it and is learning to turn, and develop the patience it takes to initiate, carve, and exit a nice smooth turn. There really is no other sensation like linking a few smooth monster turns on perfectly flat water.
Long live skiing .

I can pull 360's with ease and land way out in the flats when wakeboarding but I enjoy skiing a lot more. I was just starting to get into the tournament skiing but broke my ankle a couple weekends ago skiing, but I can't wait to get back on a ski next spring!!

I am the only one who slalom skiis in the family-the wife gave it up. We all wakeboard and wakesurf. I like wakeboarding the most but still bust out the HO slalom ski when the water is glass. It sure hurts alot more bitin it when skiing though. Its all fun--and I have even lightened up a bit and dont mind tubin with the new tube. Just remember--the older we get the quicker we heal.

I can relate to the 'old' guys. I have been on a slalom ski since I was 10 (34 now) and LOVE it. I think it is the rush of coming out of a turn and the instant speed of pulling across the wakes. Problem #1 is that I cant do it very long before I am worn out and problem #2 is that we are usually in small coves and at 32 mph you are at the other end and have to turn around. Also, the older style 21i has a NICE slalom wake. Mine is '98 2100wt(21i) and at 32 mph or faster, taps at 3 and 22 off it is not perfect but very very nice!!
