How much off for a demo boat?

How much $$$ off should a demo boat be? Dealer sells them with complete warranty. I am looking for a % off.
    Thanks

From what I have seen, dealers are trying to remove their inventory from 2007 and 2008. Some of these models are as low as they can go because they want to get them out the door since they have 2009 models coming into their showroom. IMO, the demo boats will be the same price as the models that haven't been tested or put together by the dealer.

Check on the warranty of a demo boat of what will be and not be covered.

I think a better way to state the warranty issue is Demo Boats Carry full warranty as long as demo hours are less than 40.

The demo boat must have less than 40 hours on it to be eligible for full Tige warranty.

They say complete warranty. That is not true. I bought my boat as a demo. They do not give you a warranty at all from TIGE'. Infact they void the warranty completly. The hull and all. We found this out after we purchased our boat which was a dealer demo boat. However what the dealer did do was on his contract he sold it as new and full warranty. There for we held him responsible for the repairs and warranty on the boat.

I can not put enough effort into warning you about this. TIGE' has it in writing right in the warranty contract terms that the dealer should provide to you. It was not provided to me when I purchased my boat. It was sent to me from TIGE' when I had my first warranty issue. What a surprise this was.

Just be carfull on buying a demo boat. If it has more than 20 hrs. on it I would not buy it unless the dealer is selling it for around 25,000-30,000 even if it is all decked out and has all the extras. That is what they are worth in my opinion. Just be cautious.

That is good to know. The boat has more than 40hrs on it and the dealer is telling me full warranty so he is not discounting it much.

I assume this is an 08 you're looking at. You need to look at this boat as a used boat then, so depending on options, this boat is probably worth somewhere in the low $50's

In this market I would shoot for the mid to low 40's. It has cost me a fortune because of all kinds of other issues that would have been covered with a warranty but there were not. So make sure that is the rout you are willing to go and be ready to pan out some cash if you do to take care of small issues.

                          It was a 2007 24ve, but I don't think I will buy it now.
