All Pro's, no Con's
The reduced top end speed is only by 1-2 mph, so not really a con if you think about what these boats are purchased forMikes Liquid Audio: Knowledge Experience Customer Service you can trust-KICKER WetSounds ACME props FlyHigh Custom Ballast Clarion LiquidLumens LEDs Roswell Wave Deflector And More

I am sure there are still fumes with the PCM that are unpleasant, even if they are not harmful. My boat never had too much of an exhaust smell, so for me, the FAE was really for the noise.
Some of us forget that no one has ever died of CO poisoning while wakesurfing and most boats do not have an FAE. The CO is a selling point, but until someone has a negative outcome, I think it is not a giant issue.Last edited by talltigeguy; 07-31-2008, 03:23 PM.Be excellent to one another.

Funny, I started a thread on this topic a lil while ago and it convinced me to get one. Take a look HERE!!
Pros = Unbelievable reduction in engine noise!! No fumes!! Stereo sounds <------that------> much better at speed!!
Cons = Small loss of top end speed ( never run wide open anyway). Handling suffered a tad, but nothing major.
It is a no brainer as far as I cam concerned. My wife is also happy as can be about the end result. My brother in-law was in my boat last w/e and now he can't wait to get one on his Centurion.Last edited by FacePlant; 07-31-2008, 03:37 PM.

I would think higher backpressure would be harder on the motor.
Ive put atleast 100hrs since installation of the FAE. No change in engine temp. Giving the present fuel map for autos, a slightly richer will actually = an increase in HP, dont know about the boats. I have not noticed an increase in GPH used, seems to be close to what it was from the start.Mikes Liquid Audio: Knowledge Experience Customer Service you can trust-KICKER WetSounds ACME props FlyHigh Custom Ballast Clarion LiquidLumens LEDs Roswell Wave Deflector And More
