Used to tow with a 2000 Expedition... Bit too scary for me. I only tow with my 2500 HD silverado now.

I tow my loaded 24Ve with a 2001 Yukon XL 2500 with 8.1L engine. You can barely tell you are towing with that beast. I also have a GMC Sierra 1500 with the 5.3L engine. It could tow the 24, but not well. Struggled on even the smallest incline. Since then, I added the grannetelli motor sports pull hard kit, and also the programmer from them, and have gained about 50 horsepower, and have the truck programmed for towing. It tows very well now, but still not close to the yukon, but still very well. The only drawback is that I have to keep 89 or 91 in my truck now with the new programming. Also, you have to be more careful with the sierra because the brakes are not as beefy. The yukon 2500 has massive brakes.

I towed a 24Ve to the boatshow and back with my new Sequoia and never felt it back there, even up hills.

IF you are talking about an 08 5.7L Sequoia.... well then i sure hope you didn't feel a 4000# boat back there. (I had an 07 Tundra 5.7L and towed my 5000# boat (plus trailer, gas, stuff = 7000# ish and really couldn't tell the boat was back there. The new 5.7L motor with the 6sp tranny is awesome.

Yes, I got my new 08 in Jan. big difference from my 06 smaller engine Sequoia. I haven't towed anything any larger yet, I have been very happy with it so far. My only gripe is the side mirrors are sometimes hard to see over they are so large.

I used a Nissan Titan great truck then when it came to to switch I bought a 2008 Toyota Tundra. That is even better. I can not even feel the boat behind it and the acceleration is amazing pulling all that weight. Oh the boat is a loaded 2005 24V.

I've towed my '99 21v with a Dodge Dakota for many years. It did OK. I like the F-150 I have now (2004) better. I think most tow vehicles could pull a boat, but I would be more worried about stopping.

the Jeep Cherokee with the 3.0L Diesel would be a great mid size tow vehicle.

24ve: 2004 Ford Expedition 5.4 Triton. Tow in 2wd with Overdrive off. I hardly feel it back there.

I had to upgrade the Honda Ridgeline to a Toyota Tundra Crew Max Limited...Suprisingly it gets better gas mileage than the Ridgeline & it drives more like a truck so it keep me from getting speeding tickets.

X2. It is the stopping that I think about.

We use an 02 Explorer with the 4.0L V-6. It tows our 22i just fine given its 7000lb rating. Most on here have overkill and then some.

My Dodge Cummins Quad Cab 4x4 can't tell the difference between the 5K lb Tige 20V or a 10K lb brick trailer. Either way its 60-65 MPH uphill. The engine makes whatever torque is required, has huge brakes with room for six and gets decent fuel mileage.
