I'm glad it didn't turn into a Northridge style earthquake by setting off another one at the same time.

We lived in Whittier during the Whittier narrows earthquake in 1987. When you're that close to the epicenter, those aftershocks can play some crazy mindgames on you. It was after that and the Northridge quake that my wife said "I'm outta here" and we moved to Utah.

I'd lived in the SF Bay Area for years and had tolerated all kinds of quakes but experiencing the '89 Loma Prieta 6.9 was enough and we moved out to the California Central Valley. The CV has it's own set of issues but no quakes thank god!

I live in Chino Hills...My wife called me frantically right after it happened. We live in a brand new home built to Seismic zone 4 so we are all good...

I was in a meeting with 2 people from here and 4 from back east. I slowly rolled my chair from the confrence table into the doorway and they were all looking at me like wondering what I was doing.

              It was their first earthquake

What I feel is really strange is, down by salten sea the geological surge ponds about 18 to 20 of them a become extremly active since late last nite, monday nite, they are almost acting like small active volcanos.

Did anyone have any damage other than things falling down?

                                I missed the entire thing.
We had a few pictures fallen over.
                                I guess that explains it.
