    da.bell,

I love the guys at CWS. They were really cool to me when I was looking.

    Not much for local though.

Your not going to try the bait and switch for a gently used 24ve are you?

Nope, I wouldn't do that nor will my dealer do that. However, they might try it to joke around but I don't think they would. I agree, I like my dealer and they are awesome and have given me great service. Example: They keep all their customer boats outside when possible but they have moved my RZ2 indoors for the night.

Well that wouldn't be much fun Highly doubt we would by the X45... my wife thinks XStars are for snobby little ritch kids who parents buy them a boat at 16yr/old and an Escalade to pull it. (Although she liked the X45 more than she thought she would and she gave a huge thumbs down to the Malibu's.

Now here's something funny... the local dealer than went out of biz (Skidogs)just posted on Craigslist 2 new 07 RZ2's for sell in the mid $50K's. Some how he manage to hang on to 2 of the boats while all the others were transfered to the new dealer (until Tige and come and pick them up.) Can't imagine you get great service if you buy a boat from a dealer that has already closed up shop.

No RZ4's are local but I had my local dealer call down to Portland to Stayton Motors. They have an 08 RZ4 they are using as a demo but the price came back at $80K+... so clearly someone doesn't want to sell it.

You should take it to the new dealer then. Continue to go into the new dealer every once in awhile and make yourself know. I am sure they will take care of you knowing that you are just popping in to say hello.

Keep in mind that when you buy your boat from an out of state dealer that if you need warranty service at your local dealer, you are going to be put at the end of the line.

I'll guarantee CWS will beat that price. You already know the price they are willing to depart with. Then you can come down and pick it up and take me out for a spin. j/k I am sure they would get it up to you by truck.

If i were in the market for a 24Ve i would have certainly given you a call. Well... actually... no. My dealer has a great deal on a new 08 24Ve... it's just not the boat for us.

But i do wish you luck!!!! and i hope you can find a buyer before winter sets in.

True, but the dealer is new and the dealer could call down to my dealer and bargain with them also.

Thanks and my dealer is helping me out 1000%. They have been totally honest with me and they are working with me to find a buyer. I would love to sell it but it's not ready to be sold yet.. But there is hope around every corner.

Well it's not like that. First, we are going to try the RZ2.. if we feel it is big enough we will go with it. Our only hesitation with the RZ2 is that it might be a bit small (the point of a new boat is to downsize a bit from the new 25' boat i purchased last year!! you might think 24' isn't much of a downsize.. but trust me.. it is. The top of my current boat's windshield is 8' off the ground on the trailer and the tower doesn't collapes... we have to take it off every time we put it in the garage and it is a PITA (But we do love the boat!) Plus..i would really like a V-drive... i started boarding again and i fell in love wth wakesurfing (which i can't do because my boat is an IO)

So.. if the RZ2 works my purchase it from my local dealer, done deal (i purchased my last boat from them and they are great.) IF the boat doesn't work for us.. then we are still shopping. My dealer doesn't have any RZ4's and they don't have any nearby that they can grab (Except the one for $80K!) (of course there are some 09s coming in a bit.. but I don't need an 09 at 09 prices (id be happy with a preowned 07 or 08!) So.. if we decide on an RZ4 and my dealer can't get me one.. well then i don't think they would be offended if i purchased an out of town dealers leftover stock. So I'm not trying to go around my dealers back... they know what's up (And heck.. they read this forum and everything i post here!)

My understanding is the 07's were his (old dealer's) problem. The Black RZ was a late 07 so it went with the others. I would jump on navy yellow and white one, it is sharp.

Sport boats will still take care of you , they did my 20 hour service and I bought one of Skidogs last few boats, just be honest with them. Brady is a cool dude!

The thing that you will miss the most is the handling of that boat compared to the V drive that you are wanting to purchase.

That's what i hear. V-Drives are more difficult at slow speeds? Docking, etc?. My current boat has the Bravo III outdrive... so it spins 2 counter-rotating props... makes for great slow speed control. Like i said.. there is a lot ridding on our upcoming test drive of the RZ2. We will see how it compares.
