    Neck braces

My wife suffers from a old neck injury and she reaggravates it once in awhile. It happened again this year when she was wakeboarding--her head goes back and she hyper extends it. I was wondering if anyone has tried or has some knowledge if this would work for her. It is from the dirtbiking sport but I think it might work for both. Just looking for some advice as my wife does not want to be limited to driving and surfing only. Thanks Bibbs

no it won't that is designed for a helmet. i have one it will just be loose around your neck with no support when going backward with neck without a hemet on.

we looked at some six six one today and they have a couple of tie down spots that I think I could rig up something around buckles and zippers. Do you guys think that might work?
The back of the life jacket helps keep the brace working properly-like a helmet.

Here is what I would do if I needed it and had the money

Get a HANS device and a wakeboarding helmet that fits securely. then drill holes in the helmet to hook up the HANS device to and youre set

oh 1 thing I just thought about is, you will also have to find a way to secure the HANS device to her body. and BTW HANS devices are expensive

Barefooters use neck braces all the time. Skiing backwards at 40mph on your barefeet can cause quite the whiplash when you go down. Go to barefootcentral.com go to on line shopping and click on neckbraces. If you buy one else where just make sure its for watersports.

                    +1

I have that brace and even with my chest protector and helpmet there is wiggle room--doubt that would be effective for any neck protection.
Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?
