Yes I did it last year. Nautique has had it for yearsssss. But the unit I had was simply a push button.... not coded. So I removed it. To do it, you will have to wire in a seperate switch for your accessories (I.E. Radio). It's pretty simple to do.

My 2004 switch V has a push button start. You still need a key, just put the key in, and turn it to the right, then push the button to start the boat.

Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?

do they make any that are coded? I think it would be kinda cool. The new Toyota camrys have it now where there is no spot to put they key, you just leave it in your pocket or somewhere in the car and it knows. Also when you go to unlock the car as long as the keypad is close to the car you just push a button on the handle and it unlocks. So much for wiring an extra key under the fender I don't do than anyway

Why couldn't you hot wire with a PB? The wires are all still there.

I think it is a good idea and I might look into it. Keys sink.

My dad's Harley has a keyless ignition. It has a keychain thing about the size of a quarter. It has to be like within so many feet of the bike or it won't start. Pretty cool.

If you install it you will know how to hot wire it.
