Leaking by the rear swim platform grab rail

I've noticed that I take on water when waves come up to my rear grab rail. The washers look like they sank into the fiberglass. Is this an easy fix. I was thinking about pulling it off, filling the holes with a lot of silicone and making a much larger aluminum backing plate and tighening it all back together. I'll admit I saw this was how the mastercraft is assembled back there. Hoping this would work. There are no exterior crack evident.

You're also probably taking on water through the rear blower vent. I know mine does, especially when we're wakesurfing. Unless your grab rail is loose, I'd say that is the problem.

I see the water coming in through the bolt holes.

Silicone is the Jimmy-Jam! Plug it.
Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?

            Silicone

I removed the grab rail and NO silicone. I stuffed it full, no LEAKS now.

glad to hear that you got the water stopped up!

Did you use a generic silicone caulk?
