So do the pre convex V hulls with regular taps work in conjunction with the hulls like the newer ones do. On the website it says that tige introduced the convex V hull in 2004 along with the taps2 technology. just curious of the difference..

The orig. taps system had 2 smaller hydraulic rams and the taps2 has a single electronic ram. I'm not sure about the hull shape.

I am sure it does but not as much as the newer hulls. Since the newer hulls have more of a rocker compared to the older hulls.

well if you want a "BIG" wake, just drop the $$ for the X-80. 6400lbs dry, twin V-8's and 110 gallon tank and 28' long.

Of course at some point, you have to actually write the check for $110k+....but, its just money, right?

ive heard the X80 is sh@$ for everything but wakesurfing, is that the case, is the thing just TOO BIG to be a great boarding boat? i can imagine shes no slalom machine.

I think you are correct, its not what you would call a slalom boat. I think the wake for wakeboarding might be ok. Dunno, it would be fun to drive a boat that has twin V8's though, don't you think? I sure would not want to pay the gas bill though

Twin screws on the X-80 would be fun to drive. Sure would make getting into a slip a bit easier. Check the left vid aimed at the lifestyle aspect (i.e., the bikini diver and driver along with the dude in the front with his arms around two girls, all facing backward). Bathroom and fridge. "Yacht Certified", so no seating capacity rating. I did not know that thing was so big.
