A holeshot is when the boat is standing "still" and takes off.

Ive taken it out once, just for a day skiing. Seemed fine, perhaps a tad underpowered , a little rattly. But it seems to run great. Now keep in mind, i have never actually owned a boat......
I am informed that i can switch out the prop, currently a 3 blade 1 1/8 lh 13 x 13 stainless, with a few nicks and chips in it, for a 4 blade and this would most likely smooth out some of the roughness and rattles, Of course, being a newbie, i have no idea who to call, and west marine had nothing available.

I am in the norhtern california (marin county) area. Suggestions on who i could call? Even for repairs and general stuff to improve it? But i would mostly like to switch out the prop......350 chevy i am told, is the engine......
You can also call www.acmemarine.com and they will recommend the best prop for your boat, motor combination.
        Let it be!!!

Omg, they are going to ask me questions about my rpm and so forth arent they..........
            P.S.

I tried to take the damn old prop off, clearly, there is something other than the large nut holding it on.........I see nothing under maintanance tips and tricks,

              hehehe

You just need to use a rubber mallet to hit it off. There is a pin, bolt, and a key. Since you have an older boat, I am sure the prop has dug into the metal a little bit.... You'll be okay.
