    How to apply poly

I am just about done sanding my old wood ski and i was wondering what the best way to apply the poly would be?

Apply several coats with a sponge brush.Let it dry a few days and wetsand it with 400 grit.keep doing this until you can't see the wood texture anymore.

Yep...good idea. Since you're sanding down any imperfections, it doesn't really matter what you apply it with. No need to fork over a lot of money for a fancy brush...cheap ol' throwaway sponge brush will work just fine. I would suggest putting a nice coat of wax (good quality auto wax) after the poly has cured. I do this on pinball machine playfields after clearing them, and it looks great.

            hair will streak.

            foam is ideal.

make sure the coats are thin and cover evenly. Also make sure the ski is level as any runs require a fair amount of work to deal with.
