You just need to know when to not take the bait, sift through, grab your info and avoid the BS while not getting caught up in it.

i dont personally think its a great "trump card" to throw in their face, i mean square cut outs on the windscreen is nothing compared to the similarities of the new tower and the new lines on the Ve series.
weve gained a lot from their designs but theyve gain very little from us. not saying i side with malibu, i think tiges are a better looking boat in every way, but i just feel its not much to go on.

I guess I don't understand what your saying about the square cut-outs on the windscreen???? We're talking about the cut outs on the side panel of the hull.
Personally I don't really care either way who copies who. I say take what your customers love about another boat, make it your own and sell it! It just makes a better boat in the end!Being a major OU fan and a staunch conservative.... I am perpetually vexed w/ the conundrum of who to hate more. Obama or the Univ. of Saxet.

sorry i see what your getting at with the hull cut outs, missed it the first time. yeah i guess that is pretty RZ.
but i stick with my thoughts that we have taken more from them. as for the Ve, not so much the lines of the boat but the new scheme which has the similal lines to the wakesetter, that sort of line that tapers out from the bow.
im also not to fussed who copies who, i can see why the malibu guys would be pissed bout the tower, now they have nothing on us, our tower is better looking too!!

sorry, it was the tower i read it about, this is where i read it (wake origin)
Exterior
We’ve seen the new Malibu corporate design language used on the Wakesetter VTX in 2007, and the 23′ Wakesetter model in 2008, so it should come as no surprise that the 2009 Wakesetter VLX has very similar aesthetics to it’s two siblings.
The first thing you’ll notice is that the VLX appears to use the Cut Wake hull technology that has been employed on the VTX and 23 LSV. Given the performance of those two boats, and the fact that Malibu has almost certainly made improvements in the process of implementing that technology on the VLX, wake size and shape, along with the boat’s general performance should easily better the previous models reputation.
Of interest are the unique reliefs molded into the hull on either side. The look is reminiscent of the 2008 Malibu Corvette Limited Edition, which takes inspiration from the road-going Corvette’s cooling ducts aft of the front wheels. It’s a different look, and one that we’ll reserve final judgement on until we see boats out on the water.
Other external changes include a new integrated transom step/seat as seen on the 23 LSV last year, and the availability of the Illusion XS wakeboard tower which had previously only been available on Malibu’s 23′ and 24′ 7″ models.
