I just picked up an '08 CWB Sapphire for the wife. It has a very small spot on the edge that is either delam or damage. Can't tell because it's so small. Anyway Wakeside says it's cool to fix with marine epoxy & clamp if i want and they'll give me some cash back or another board, thoughts?

I would ask the question (and get an answer in email at least) Once you do the "fix" is the warranty invalidated?
The fix might work for the long-term and it might not. I personally could care less about a little belmish but that is just me.
Also, what is the turn around time for a new board? Can you swap one out at a store or does it have to be sent away... etc.

Let me clarify i guess. The spot is maybe 1/8" long by as much in and actually looks like it might have been a bubble in the lam when made but was exposed when the edge was cleaned up. If i fix it & keep it then Wakeside will give me $84 back, so the $279 board will then be $195 or they will send me another board exactly like the first at no cost to me and i'd have it in three days. They also said use this one until it's there.
Now, surfboards are repaired with epoxy all the time without issue. Wakeside says they do this all the time to any wakeboards that come back and use them without issue. I'm leaning towards a new one as if this is a bubble there's no gaurentee there aren't more. BUT i'm a cheap bastard and that $84 is looking good!"Call me anything you want ... Just don't call me NOBODY!

Being a cheap bastard is fine, but if your chics board is "starting" to delam, then it could "continue" to delam. Yes, you use the same type of resin to fix wakeboards as you do with surfboards, minus the fibercloth, unless you have a really bad ding, etc. If I were you, I would ride it and wait for the new stick. $84 is only worth about 300 pesos in today's dollar exchange. New board is better than 6 tacos, IMHO.“Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting "holy &#*! what a ride!”
