that sounds like a pretty perfect place, 30 degree lakes, thats like a bath!! i went for a board the other day in the river and even with two wetsuits on it was still freezing.
we do get snow, but its around 12hours drive south from where i live, and then again aus isnt renound for great snow, so its nothing to get too excited about.
i did a trip to steam boat springs a few years back to do some skiing/boarding and that was some of the best snow ive seen!!
