Hey, maybe we can get Bisch to do a driving school?

I'm with Dogbert. I learned that Technique on here as well. Use it all the time, and have taught it to the other guys who I let drive my boat. Its great, especially when you are on the lake at the same time, cause it tends to keep the waves going in the same direction, essentially perpendicular to your line. So as long as you keep riding in the same line its great!

As for Power turns, sometimes they are fun for the kids, who always want to go fast. But I'll NEVER do them if:
      1. There are other boats around
      2. I don't know how deep the water is
      3. If someone is riding, or has just fallen
      4. I have not told everyone to hang on. You could easily throw someone out of the boat.....unless thats the idea

Some of the Skyski dudes used to /and maybe still do a "Hot Pickup". The skier would drop and then boat would do a power turn and somehow place the handle to the rider with enough slack where the rider could grab the rope and then be back up, usually within about 15 seconds of falling. A guy tried this on me one time and and I would not grab the handle after 3 attempts he figured out he would have to slow down. He was very angry with me!

The guys at Dallaswakeboarding LOVE this move! This groups gets very upset if you mess up 'their' water.

Thats a power pickup! Used also when skiing doubles, and one guy falls.

I tried to drive it one time, but it got too wavy, and it didnt work.

Basically, If you are skiing doubles and one guy falls, the driver turns, and the skier still up goes out in the whip and stays there, while the driver circles the down skier slowly making a wider and wider turn until the rope comes tight then the driver straightens out and the skier is back up.
