Whats wrong with power turns? I do them killing people that want to ride a tube and waste my time and gas. I also do them pulling people into shore and it is the only way to turn on the river.

I have only done one or two with my Tige since I got it. I did one on my 1977 ski nautique and the shaft pulled right out. The propeller hit the rudder, damaging the crap out of the prop. I've been scared to do too many since. Do you guys think this was just a fluke thing?

Sure they do.
You’re stuck taking the in-laws out, and nothing better then a few power turns to prevent them from coming again
