Well got my jet boat out yesterday and it started and ran pretty good, i was just going back and forth behind my house and decided we were going to take it across the lake so one of my buddies was cranking down the tige on the lift to use in case of break down, so i checked the oil on the jet and it was cremey white, i am praying it is just the intake gasket, even the head gasket would not be a big deal, just really hoping the block is not cracked.

My best friends dad bought a 74 tahiti jet after he rode in my dads in 73 and they still have theirs too, and we are both sponsoring the boat drags in middle august and we are both planning on having our jets out there (not to race), i hope we both still are, best part of it is he has a big mechanic garage in town so we should have her ready, just hope i dont have to find another engine.

It is a 73 olds 455 that has been built by the best engine builder in town back in the late 70s, everything about the boat is old school and i dont want to change any of that, the expense of having to replace the motor would suck, but i am more concerned about just not having the same motor, hopefully it will just be a head/intake gasket and i will have her out again next week.

Went home for lunch and took a couple pictures of the jet, looked at the lake and lost all ambition to go back to work, i dont know why but the lake always looks like this when i am at work and then i get done and the wind picks up. But here are the pictures of the boat and of the lake so i can make everyone drool and be mad they are at work.
