    Boat Wax

What is the best type of wax to use on the boat...I have a 21ir that is red and I want to give it a good cleaning and wax it... Has a few dull spots.

Any of the Mother's products...or Meguiars auto waxes are a good bet.

I use a caranuba wax twice a year. One at the beginning of the year and one at the end of the year. During boating season, we use the Babe's Boat Bright which has a small amount of wax in it. Very, very easy to clean after the outing on the lake.

I can send you a sample of FLITZ. Once you use it though you will not use anything else. That stuff is the best hands down.

I agree w/ this. I used it for the first time this year. works great. Boat looks great now. Took all the water spots and marks off the sides of the boat.

Flitz is good stuff, I use McGuire's Metal Polish, works just as good and is carried by my local Auto Body Supply store.

I read a wax evaluation once in "Powerboating Review", a now defunct consumer reports type magazine and they tested a ton of waxes and they liked Collinite Wax the best. If you saw how badly my boat needs waxed you would never trust me for wax advise though. :-)

I just detailed an all red crownline LPX yesterday and i should have taken before and after pics, the owner who is a very good friend of mine takes really good care of the boat and waxes it once in a while, i buffed it with a product from malco called rejuvinator and i could not even believe how faded the gel was when i saw the difference between buffed and not buffed, my friend was blown away, we both thought it looked great before, let me know if you would like some, it is all i will use from now on, by the way you dont have to buff with it, you use it by hand.

I would be interested, where do you get it?

Stay away from Carnubas,, they will yellow your hull.
We use silicon spray and wipe.

Raindance or Eagle One spray and wipe wet or dry and we get constant comments on the looks.

I have used the Eagle One Wax. Someone on here recommended it and so far it works great. Love the way it smells too.
