Heading out to Black Meadow this weekend, anyone got suggestions for where to go when the sun is down? Anything I should watch out for?

Black Meadow Sucks!
I suggest anyone planning to spend any money at Black Meadow Landing reconsider. That place will never again see me or my friends ever again.
Awful road just getting into the place...hasn't been touched since it was first put it.
Launch ramp is a joke, designed by a 5 year old perhaps...such a step grade that 4wd is required just to crawl out.
Our two friends that got there a few hours after us where charged $46 for having an extra vechile and staying with us after we payed $120/night for the crap 1 bedroom mobile home. The place was maybe 1/2 filled so extra space was a non issue.
This morning we check out and are told it'll be another $20+ to use the launch ramp after 11am and to leave the park. I mention that it seems a bit like we are being nickled and dimed and I'm not sure we are going to come back. The beast of a woman behind the counter tells me she "can make that possible for me".
The impression I have of Black Meadow is that they want to make as much money as possible with no regard for building a loyal customer base. I'm a 25 year old with plenty of friends who enjoy the river and spending our money there. That money will never again be spent at black meadow. -
And the cafe sucks too! Overpriced and way to strict...people are on vacation...let them eat lunch in a bikini top if they want.Comment
