Should the engine lean like this?

I've been going through the new boat and have noticed a few items that I need answers to. The first is the engine alignment. It appears to be leaning slightly to the stbd side. Pictures attached for clarity
First pic is the whole picture, 2nd is the port side gap, 3rd is the stbd side no gap and last is the wear on the removable bulkhead on the stbd side.
Based on the last picture it appears that this has been like this for quite some time. Any ideas??

I am with Larry on this one. I think that is bad. The alignment is likely off, and that means that something somewhere is bent all to heck. It drives without any vibration?

have you checked your motor mounts maybe one side is lose???

Just went out and looked at mine. Looks like your panels are closer to the engine exhaust than mine are. You might measure from the hinge side to the panel on each side to be sure they were installed equi-distant from each side. Could be that simple. My engine looks level side to side though. Will post pictures when I can.

Have you taken some measurements and/or checked the motor mounts?

I'll take some pictures of the motor mounts when I go back out tomorrow. It looked to me like there was room for adjustment on the mounts for sure, and that they were not equally spaced from side to side. I am hesitant to adjust them though since I do not know for sure if this will effect other alignment issue also (shaft alignment is my main concern).

The engine would have to be fairly straight or the tranny and v-drive would be out of line with the shaft and you would be getting a lot of vibration.

I am surprised your shaft is not touching where it goes through the hull of the boat. I most certainly would get that realigned. But first you need to see if it is a mount problem and then if it is correct that before hand.

Is it that the engine is mis-aligned or is it that the panels are not installed square to the engine. I would say that the engine is more of a fixed component that the panels. Maybe the panels are not intalled equally from side to side. Maybe???? just a thought

I am going to agree totally with rushin, the panels are not exactly torqued and installed to tight specs and this is a used boat so who knows if someone has had them out or stepped onthem or who knows

I would bet that the engine is aligned properly and the panels are installed poorly.

+3. That would be the first thing I would check. As others have stated, if the motor were leaning like that, you would definitely feel it in the drive train....

I disagree. Actually, if you compare the engine location with the blower vent outlet (see top of the picture), it's pretty clear that this engine is not aligned properly.

I have the same boat and it does not look like that. I doubt they shipped it from the factory that way. I'd check the engine mounts and have it realigned. You definitely want someone with inboard experience to do this and I'd check with the Tige factory to get the specs for the alignment.
