    Wish List options for 2009 RZ2?

    So I am beginning to discuss the 2009 RZ2 with the dealer. I would be very interested in suggestions for additional factory/dealer options/requests (over and above standard options) that would be useful/necessary. Here are a few to start with:

    extra two or four built in Tsunami 1200 bilge pumps;
    extra cleats (where would they be most need on an RX?);
    extra D rings above swim platform;
    swim platform LEDs;
    dealer installed FAE exhaust;
    WS Pro80s and/or Pro485 (wonder how integration in the new tower will go?);
    WS 420 w/ PA;
    extra marine batteries (4?).

    Any areas to request reinforcement (e.g., bow D ring)?

    Any suggestions? Has anyone else had luck with obtaining non-standard mods?

    Thank you in advance for any help. This board is an absolutely amazing source of information. And a stronger community than most boards too!

    The cleats on my 07 RZ2 are not in a good place. The front cleat is to far forward and whenever I dock I have to use the Tower to tie the buoys. The Front Cleats are too far in and the side of the boat would hit the dock if the buoy was located in the front Cleat.

    I also like the idea of having the D rings above the swim platform. You don't realize how much you miss them until you have to anchor your boat.

    Another option that would like to see is "LOTS of BALLAST" with gauges.

      Wow, you must be thinking this is a custom house, cause you sound like some of my customers... LOL.

      Alot of your work your interested in is dealer items... so be prepared to get bent over w/o any lube!!!!

      1. Why do you want extra bilge pumps other than the factory 2?.... are you
      meaning ballast pumps?
      2. Extra cleats can be ordered, so your ok there.
      3. How many D-rings do you need?????.... are the factory 2 not ok? (dealer
      option here)
      4. Swim platform LED's - Tige has a underwater transom light option
      available...but it's not on the swim platform. Anything else, will be dealer
      option, and you better hope you know what your getting into
      5. You will not get a 485 on that tower w/o alot of custom work. It can be
      done, but be prepared to pay a pretty penny. Once again, dealer option
      6. Extra cleats can be ordered.
      7. WS-420 - Go for it.... definately a nice add on. (another dealer option)
      8. Extra batteries... Tige has a dual battery system.... but if your wanting
      additional batteries for the stereo...I would do it myself, as adding
      batteries can get tricky. And I wouldn't trust alot of the yahoos working
      at some dealers to touch this stuff.
      9. As for reinforcement..... seriously???? I think you'd get laughed at for
      this one, but I can't think of any area on a Tige that would need
      reinforcement.

      ***Edit***
      Ignore #3.... I didn't realize Tige had eliminated the D rings on the transom, as my boat has them. You definately want those!!!!!!!!!!!!

        At least I now know what NOT to ask for ;-)

        Re D-rings, on the boats I have seen, they are under the swim platform. I want to omit the ski pylon and pull tubes from the rear D ring (if at all).

        I really appreciate the feedback, especially as to what is realistic from the dealer. The last thing I want to be is a pain in the a** (on the board or to the dealer).

          Don't worry about being a pain the arse here. We just send them away crying... he he he

          Welcome to the site. Tanner has already mentioned a lot of good stuff.

            It is a pansy pylon moment...

            If you get D rings above the swim platform, you will still find they are too low for a good tube pull. The rope will be dragging in the water and spraying kids in the face and you won't be able to get a whip going until you are going like 30 MPH and the tube is then screaming at a good 50 MPH and you are going to break someone's neck.

            Time for Tige to put on a good pylon that is bolted to stringers and that can be retracted for when you don't need it. Malibu does it, MC does it.

            Rant over.

            Sounds exciting to be ordering the new boat.
            Be excellent to one another.

                Get your Wetsounds after the fact. You will get a better, Cleaner install than you will get from the factory. They don't know how to ground things and run power properly for good clean music at the factory. I had to change all there wiring to get it sounding good. And so have a lot of other peeps.

                    I find the hot shower comes in handy early in the season along with a heater.

                      Very good idea form and function. Does anyone know what Tige charges for the shower?..... as it's VERY easy to add on, and can be done for way less than $100. I think Tige gets around $500 for it.... so it's better to just do it yourself.

                      I'd contact SBFAN about the wetsounds, he can steer you in the right direction on what you'd want to do.

                      You definately want to head his advice about staying away from Tige's stereo wiring. Either let your dealer do it or better yet... a respected stereo store, if you can't do it yourself.

                      Post up who your dealer is as some of the guys here will be able to tell you what your dealer is capable of. Some are VERY good with stereo's, wiring, etc.... others... well.... just flat out suck!!!!!!! LOL

                        State-a-Mind in Saint Louis. I have read some positive comments on this board re same dealer. I have also spoken to several other local Tige owners and former owners (online and in person) and they have been complimentary as well. Nonetheless, I am interested in any feedback others may have.

                        And my excitement can barely be contained! Heading to the KC cablepark weekend after next to burn off some enthusiasm.
