I'm looking to put docking lights on my 22ve. However I was looking for something a little brighter than the standard 50 watt lights. I have heard of LED shark eye docking lights for boats but don't know any one who has seen or used them. Are they worth the price differance ? thanks.

What exactly is your goal here? More light while docking?... or more while driving? If it's for driving, forget it. If for trailering, it can help some. I don't think the LED lights will be any brighter than the standard 55W halogens. In fact they might even be dimmer.Being a major OU fan and a staunch conservative.... I am perpetually vexed w/ the conundrum of who to hate more. Obama or the Univ. of Saxet. -
LED lights aren't very bright when it comes to projecting the light long distances like docking, they are only bright to look at... like a trailer bulb or nav lights since the light is so concentrated. Don't get me wrong LED's are great, but not as a flood light, only as an indicator light or interior light IMO.Tige Throws Mad Wake.Comment
