Week at Lake Powell

We had an awesome trip. Wanted to tell you Lake Mead is down about 70' they said. You can see the water line in some of my pics. Diane said you guys maybe heading that way. Big lake.

I take it you flew and didnt take your boat?

Yes we flew, no boat .

We flew to San Diego and went to Legoland for the little man, drive over to Az the next day. We drove up route 66 and seen a gun fight, went to Monument Valley, 4 corners, Lake Powell (2 days), Grand Canyon (2 days), Hoover Dam and flew out of Las Vegas.

Sitting in our room watching everyone launching there boats in the morning and pulling out at night wishing I knew someone I could get a ride w/. Water looked really nice. We had a blast.

24 hours until departure to Lake Powell. 10 days, we'll be lovin it.

10 days would be nice, I always just stay around 6 to 7 days. Too short, specially when it takes 6 to 7 hours to get there.

I wish I would have known that, I would have paid for the gas in your boat. We had a 1/2 day of just playing around while at Powell. That was our down time. We drove 1640 miles during our trip. We are hoping to come out to one of the reunions over the next few years. We really enjoyed our trip, very stress free. I needed that.

We got 2 sunrises and 2 sunsets while we were gone. Sunrise and Sunsets at Powell and same at the Grand Canyon.

I wish I had known that, I left on Monday the 7th in the morning but we still had the house boat for one more day, we could have stayed an extra day and take you guys around.

We usually stay around the lower end of the lake. We do alot of taxing people back and forth who come late or leave early. We also pull our boats out to get gas in Page when needed. We will probably be in warm creek. Send me a pm with your cell number. I remember you from the reunion last year and would love to meet up again.

We were near Good Hope Bay, (Knowles Canyon) There was only one houseboat at Good Hope Bay and nobody was out doing watersports. We had the whole place to ourselves. I think gas prices are keeping everybody close to the marinas.
