New '08 RZ4 Questions

Were you completely dry when you were filling the boat to put in 54 gallons? Congratulations and I hope you enjoy it!

Just got off the horn w/ the dealer and found out a that the manual they gave me, which is the same one you can download online from Tige.com, is actually for the 2007s. That would certainly explain a) the gas issue b/c the 2008 has a slightly bigger tank and b) the fact that I'd noticed that the website stated the boat weight as 4,485lbs vs the manual stated weight of3,954lbs. The dealer was checking w/ the factory to see if they even made a 2008 manual. Odd, huh? The inadequacy of the manual is definitely one of my few complaints on the boat...the other would be that they shipped it w/out 2 pretty important things:
- the MCO, which made getting it registered a royal pain in the @ss
- the bow filler cushion

FYI, the dealer also confirmed G-Money's response that the access panel above the gas tank does come out and said it would also give better access to the bilge area. Sounds like it's pretty easy to do, so I'll give it a shot--I'd like to get that hose connector out so it doesn't bounce around in the engine compartment--can't see any good that could come of that.

I think someone asked where I'm from -- Long Island, NY. We do our boarding in the Peconic Bay, which is the body of water in between the 2 forks. I think there's also been a couple of picture requests -- will post as soon as I can download them, but since someone had asked colors, we went w/ black on the main panel, 2ndary panel & swim platform, graphite grey for the entire deck, the grey logo, pacific blue on the hull and interior accents, the platinum & white interior and anodized on an e-series tower. She looks great--have gotten lots of compliments already.

Not surprised that Tige sent out the 2007 manual.. However, there isn't a 2007 RZ4 model.

Sounds more like you got the RZ2 manual. That sounds more like the weight of the RZ2.... hum..........

I agree. Oh, the bow filler is an option, so may have gotten left off of order, stuff happens.

Boat was dry when I went to the dealer to pick up; we put some in then for the test run which was all of 15 mins so could not have burned much gas, then I topped her off when i got home. Adding the 2 fill-ups together, i was between 54-55 gallons...

congrats on the new boat. that floor thing isnt as easy as it sounds take it slow some of the screws are kind of hidden.
