Curious - if the water level didn't come back up, how would you get the boat back into the water? Could you dig a trench around the boat and get the water to come up to it so that you had a chance of dragging it back in or ?
The reason I ask is because a big storm hit at the lake that I was at the other day and blew 4 boats off of their anchors and onto the beach like this. I have no idea if/how they were going to get them back into the water.

Longish watch but worth it. 2:43 shows prop line through mud. 6:40 the hook up. 7:20 the lift. 8:50 the drop.

The first year I had my boat, a storm came in really fast. All I had time to do was try to get an anchor out and cover it up. Another boat's anchor pulled mine loose and my boat got blown to shore. The wind was so strong that it pushed the water up on our end of the lake. The lake was down a ways, so it was all mud.

Well, after the storm, my boat was about 50 feet from where we could float it. Me and 7 of my buddies lifted up the back end and drug it a foot at a time back towards the water. Not fun.

I don't think I would laugh about it until after my temper pooped because my boat never is put close to the shore like that. I would be trying to figure out who is in charge of the water on the lake controlling the water level.

But once it got floating and everything was OK I guess I would laugh probably at myself for loosing my temper.

That is a very nice boat to be sitting in that spot.
