I was just surfing ebay and found a seadoo wake 230 jet boat, anyone seen one of these, they have wakeboard towers, 1000 pound ballast tanks, and 430 horses, i have just never seen one before, thought they were kinda cool, anyone ever seen a wake behind one of these, not that i am thinking about spending the same money i paid for my tige on a over grown jet ski, just curious. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Sea-D...QQcmdZViewItem

I saw one, it was not even a year old at my dealer, the guy traded it in on a new tige. He lost so much money on that thing. He said he couldn't get a decent wake out of it to save his life. And with out the prop biting in or the tracking fins to keep the thing straight, his son could slow it down and change the boats course by cutting hard. Looks good, but get a wakeboat if you want a wakeboat.

I currently (since I don't own a Tige yet) wakeboard behind a Sea-Doo Speedster 150. I have seen the of a Speedster 200 Wake edition (which I'll assume it would be similar to the 230 wake) and it looked OK (nothing to write home about). The problem I have experienced behind the 150 is that the speed jumps around a lot. If the boat skips through rougher water, it can jump up in speed on you instantly. However, for pure speed (will do close to 70 mph per handheld gps unit), they can't be beat.

Difficulty holding its speed is the main problem I hear about over and over from a jet based engine. With a little tweaking, I would think they could have made a hull that would work for producing a good wake, as long as you don't pull on the boat too hard, or hit any rough water.Be excellent to one another.

I am not sure that this is the way I would go. If you want to go boarding then get the right equipment. It is like doctors they buy the best equipment for the job. Same with mechanics. You buy the best tools to get the job done. You don't go to the dollar tree and buy the knock off equipment for your job. SEADOO has a piece of KNOCK OFF equipment here trying to tap the growing market for wake boats. I know you can buy a TIGE' for $35,000 somewhere so why would you buy one of those things.www.automarinecare.com CWB, ACME, FlyHigh, Merc Marine, PCM, Marine-power, WETSOUNDS, HSE Volume Controls, Kicker, Sony, Samson Sports, and many other marine parts or accessory's.

I tried skiing behind a jet ski once, it even had the tracking rudder on it. I'm a big guy and when I cut with my 72" ski, I ended up pulling the back of that ski so much it was like skiing with a bungee cord. After 3 cuts, I dropped the rope because I was afraid I was going to hurt myself. I could definitely see how you could easily end up with the rope around your neck doing thatCursed by a fortune cookie: "Your principles mean more to you than any money or success."
