    Strange.....

We have been out to the lake this summer so I haven't posted lately but we did have something strange happen--- Now remember My husband and I are complete Novice boat owners I still laugh when I think the first time I drove a boat was the first time I pulled Ryan up on the wake board-- should have seen me when I realized when he fell that we were probably illegal... cuz where was my wingman with the flag????? oh well we were just too excited to wait for anyone to come!!-- it was late no one was there--

any way off the subject there -- the noise it made yesterday... we were just cruising at about 19 MPH with our little punks in the tube (I know I know) and all of the sudden there was a loud clatter clatter clatter and 4 or 5 big vibrations--- Ryan powered back and it was gone??? I know we are new so I am hoping things like that just happen?? and who knows? but y'all tell me your the experts..
BTW this is a new engine in our 07 RZ2 it reads 6 hrs (end of last summer got a new engine from tige--long story but it was a nice surprise when it read 0 on it I forgot we had that done.

only two things I can think of off of what you said

      hit something with the prop?

      threw a rod?

      boat still running fine?
      Everything happens for a reason

Sorry slow to check back -- Out at the lake again... Boat still runs fine.. at the time there were no other red flags-- didn't throw oil. all gages were fine -- no loud alarms--- I dunno I guess it's probably not anything big-- just made me wonder

I would have bet money you had damaged the prop. But the boat seriously runs fine now?

You hit a submerged object. Probably a log of some sort. Has there been much rain in your area?

once I hit a log and a hunk stuck to the prop
pulled it off and everything was fine
I've still got the hunk (why?)

You probably hit something with the tracking fins.

good point tall. If he didn't have any recurring damage then it probably hit the fins and didn't affect the prop.

I hit one of those ladders that you hook over the side of the boat once. It was floating right at the surface and with the lighting was impossible to see. It clattered quite a bit as my prop chewed it up. It was made of plastic and aluminum. No damage other than a couple of scratches on the lower unit. Those things are so flimsy, I bet a prop would cut right through it.
