What's your take on this? Looks like a blast!!! Weighs 139 lbs though, would be fun for raft-ups....maybe not so much for "tubing."

Other than that, Mrs. Lincoln, how was the play?

$1500 for that thing is a little over priced IMO... But again, I am sure the material they used is a much higher grade than what they would use in tubes.

I just anchor it in the back of the cove.

LOL, I remember when they shot that video. It was hilarious.

we have the Great Big Mabel--4 person tube. 8.5' wide. I inflate at dock with corded inflator. Used to have an inflator that clipped to battery leads, but it died. The 12v are too wimpy.

I inflate at dock, put in bow section to get out of dock, then tow it with tow rope at only 8' or so. It rides on teh wake.

We only tube now when we have guests, and can do 4 at a time, so it gets it out of the way so we can later wakeboard/ski. Then either tow it back to dock, or deflate and roll up and put between seats in bow section.

Hassle, but since some kids would rather tube, doing 4 at once is the way to go.

We use the air mattress pump and lash the tube to the ski pylon when finished. It comes out of the locker when we're done with real on-water activities or the water's too rough otherwise.

I'm, frankly, not impressed with these store-bought canvas covered tubes. I recall that a plain-old truck tire inner-tube with a rope tied around it gave a much more lively ride. We'd get about even with the boat on a good power turn. Just make sure to put that long metal valve stem aiming down when riding. I'm gonna go to the tire store for a cast-off tube and give it a try. $1,500 for a "tube," yee gads. Now, one of those floating trampolines, that sounds like fun when houseboating.
