There are enough speakers throughout the boat that you can hear just about anywhere and the speakers don't have to shout at you or better put, push really hard to be heard. I'm glad we went a little ape wild on the stereo...it's been very good...
Thanks. That's what I wanted to know. I really don't have a place to put 2 speakers up in the bow unless I put them low and don't want to do that do to the fact that I can take a lot of water over the bow if I am not paying attention. I will keep looking. I have 4 in the back and 2 tower right now.

The two up front help as well... I pull a wake over the front of the boat on a somewhat regular basis and so far, things dry out and we haven't had a big problem with the speakers up there...of course they are coated etc...and I don't try to soak them...but they do get wet from time to time... They are fairly protected as they are set back into the set area somewhat...so perhaps they don't get as wet as I think they do... For what it is worth, the sub makes a huge difference. I turned it off this last trip to compare the sound with and without and it was so much fuller and nicer with it. I was really surprised at the huge difference... Have fun no matter what you do! If you look at the picture on post #7 of this thread, the front two speakers are about where the vest is drying on the bow of our boat...one on each side obviously... That should give you a little better idea...
